  29. The stated purpose of the SOCKS requirement is to ensure the security of
  30. our network.  This includes closing web-mail interfaces like yahoo and
  31. aol, because they do not offer security against virus downloads.
  32. Encryption isn't allowed (ssh for example), supposedly because the packet
  33. types cannot then be recognized by the firewwalls.
